Managing washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and other appliances for students often requires a great deal of time and effort from landlords — and usually falls outside their core activities. Splash Lease takes this burden off their hands by fully managing these responsibilities.

For 35 years, we have been providing this service to housing associations, residential groups, student complexes, and private landlords. We deliver and install the appliances, handle maintenance requests, and replace the product if repairs are no longer possible. No more large upfront investments — just manageable monthly payments at a fixed rate.

SSH Student Housing

Groningen, Zwolle, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Tilburg and more

SSH rents out 19,000 housing units in various cities and is actively working to reduce the housing shortage among young people, partly by developing a range of new construction projects. Currently, work is underway on the Tuindorp-West project in Utrecht. The first residential tower is scheduled for completion in November 2025, after which hundreds of students will move into their new rooms and start using the shared facilities. The other two towers will follow in the years to come.

In addition to new construction, SSH also carries out renovation projects aimed at providing a sustainable future for its properties.

Splash Lease and SSH have jointly established a partner program that allows all tenants of SSH properties to benefit from discounts on the rental of energy-efficient appliances.

Building Baobab , Utrecht

At the De Kwekerij complex, several student towers have been built, including Boabab. This tower consists of 126 self-contained studios and 80 rooms, and was completed on October 1, 2024.

Building Proxima, Groningen

This building at the Zernike complex houses 401 international students and was completed on July 12, 2024. It contains 252 appliances from Splash Lease.

Building Libertas, Groningen

This building has 18 floors, each with 15 studios, and houses students from University College Groningen. The kitchens are equipped with, among other things, refrigerators, cooktops, and freezers from Splash Lease.

Woonpunt

Maastricht, Heerlen

With around 200 employees, Woonpunt is the largest housing provider in South Limburg. Part of its properties are rented to students and other young people. Since 2006, Splash Lease has been providing washing machine and dryer rentals for various Woonpunt buildings.

Krachtstation

Utrecht

In 2016, a former school building, just an eight-minute bike ride from the center of Utrecht, was transformed into a multifunctional complex featuring a gym, a coffee and lunch room, studios, and 217 student rooms. BAS Wonen BV manages and optimizes real estate for private investors. From student housing to hospitality properties and office spaces, the BAS Wonen team takes care of both technical and administrative management, with a focus on quality, continuity, and return on investment.
