Save money: make your own detergent!

Always waiting for the detergent to finally be on sale again? You may have never thought about this, but you can also make your own laundry detergent. This is very good for the environment and dirt cheap! Read our recipe below:

Mixed colored laundry

What do you need?

1. 40 grams of soap (for example Marseille soap)
2. 2.5 liters of water

Grate the soap and boil the water. Add the hot water to the soap in a large saucepan and stir gently until the soap is dissolved. Let it sit for a few hours to cool. The detergent has now become stiff. Beat it with a whisk or hand blender and put the detergent in an empty bottle or bucket with a lid.

Whites

Do you want to make detergent for your white laundry?
Then add 40 grams of baking soda before leaving the detergent for a few hours to cool.

Would you like to add something extra to your detergent? Then add some essential oil. For example lemon, eucalyptus or lavender.
